Buying Hedge recipe

Apparently you can not obtain the hedge recipe if you missed out on Nature Day. Some say Leif wil sell it but that appears to be a false claim.

A friend of mine whom only recently started playing has his birthday coming up. I figured I could try gifting him a hedge recipe, albeit it won't be easy to find I guess.

So if you have a spare hedge recipe lying around, please let me know if we could make a trade! Cheers~

Hi there! I was having the same problem. The leif claim is infact true as I obtained my recipe the other day from leif. All you have to do is buy a couple of things from leif everytime they visit. It did work for me the other day, made a thread on it. Good luck!

I do not think leif will give it to you if you already have the recipe from nature day though. Just thought about that, so your friend should be fine

It would be a bit difficult for someone to get you the hedge recipe especially if they have already redeemed it. The only way for someone to give you the recipe is if they create another user on their island as and purchase shrubs or flowers from leif. This would stiffer the event where Lief gives you the hedge recipe since you bought an X amount of items.

An easier way is to do this yourself on your system since it cuts the middleman and saves you time, you can even time travel until leaf appears and create a new user on that day. Using your own character drop X amount of bells and log out, so the new character can pick it up and use it to buy the hedge recipe. After your done and get the recipe you can keep or delete the newly created villager.
