So I've seemed to have lost my Hedge Fence DIY Recipe. I don't know if I accidentally sold it before learning it or what. I've never been a time traveler, but I've done some searching and it doesn't appear there's another way to get the Hedge Fence DIY unless you are lucky enough to find someone who happens to have the unused DIY recipe (Don't think I'm likely to find that someone) .My question is would I be able to travel back a couple of weeks to the period of time of the Nature Day event to fetch this recipe? Any major ramifications I should be aware of? Otherwise, I guess I'm just stuck without hedge fencing unless they release an update that allows me to get it by other means. Thank you for any input you all have!
hm I don't think I've seen anyone have this problem yet, I guess you'd just need to tt back and find out yourself, if you do please report back what happens :-o
also some people have said that their learned diys seemingly disappeared and then reappeared again when they learned a new recipe, so maybe that could be it too?
The hedge fence was a diy recipe that Tom Nook gave me during Earth day where he sent the recipe to my phone after speaking with him. You can try to TT back to that day and see what happens. There shouldn't be any major ramifications, maybe just weeds but they wouldn't be that much.
Thank you for your comment. I as well saw reports of people losing their DIY recipes via a presumed glitch as well and wondered if this is what happened to me. It is however, very easy to forget to actually "learn" your DIY, and then mistakenly sell the recipes amid a large sell-off inventory. It'd be great if any DIY recipes you have received were able to be ordered via catalog to remedy this! That way, you could also share more DIY recipes with friends.

Thank you for the tip pocky. I actually went ahead and time traveled a few minutes ago, and the whole process was easier than expected. I set the time back to May 3rd, and was a little concerned as Leif was not in the time square. However, I went and talked to Tom Nook, he thanked me for participating in Nature Day activities and sent the recipe straight to my phone (as Sholee said). Unfortunately, this does seem to confirm that there is a glitch where DIY recipes may disappear from your catalog as I am certain as can be that I had received this recipe from Nook already, and as it goes straight to the phone, there is no way I could have sold it before learning it.

I have the DIY double because a villager gave it to me recently, but I'm glad you were able to receive the DIY again by time travelling back
