I just created an account with this website and just recently got the game don't understand how trading works, and don't have much money. How does this work?

I'd like her! I always take great care of my villagers for approx. 2 months until I get their picture. After that, they're free to leave again. Also, I always only do giveaways whether the villager is popular or not.
