Have your villagers gifted ugly clothes to other villagers?

So the other day, Nan gave Gala a football jersey and it’s really ugly on her and she wears it ALL THE TIME now. Has this happened to anyone yet? And if so, what have they gifted them? I’m curious to see and hear what ugly clothes your villagers get for one another

Yes!!! It drives me insane because sometimes I gift my villagers clothes that look perfect on them or they will wear customs designs I made hoping they will wear and some other villager has to come and ruin it

Yeah, I don't like doing package delivery anymore because of what they might get. They even ask now "Do think this looks good?" but even if you answer no they will still wear it around sometimes. Idk, maybe make up a little story to go with it? Like she's a fan of some obscure football team and she likes to wear the jersey around to support them.

I think so for a few times, I guess that's why one of my male villagers is wearing a red girly tanktop that he wears during yoga and it looks silly on him, even though I prefer it more than the default yoga outfit.

Only all the time! My villagers keep asking me to send gifts and they open the most hideous clothing and I usually have to tell them it doesn't look good, just so they'll be less inclined to wear it. If they do start wearing ugly clothes I try to overwhelm them with gifts to try to get them to wear something I give them instead!!

Yup, I've had multiple villagers gift an Instant Muscles Suit to another. It's just sad that the algorithm doesn't take into account villagers' favorite styles and colors and turns me off from doing deliveries anymore.

I'm fine with villagers gifting other villagers clothes. But what irritates me is when the clothes are for the opposite gender.

I feel bad telling them it doesn't look good, so I just tell them they look great, haha. I didn't know they would wear the item less though...

So much! Shari gave kabuki a yellow frilly blouse the second or third day I had him. And I usually cannot bring myself to tell them it looks bad. He used to wear that shirt all the time. The only ones that really get to me are the instant muscles suit (sooo ugly) and the bathrobes/ towels. But with the bathrobes and towels I just tell myself they are feeling really comfortable on the island. I still deliver all their gifts without checking though.

Lately, Freya has a pink and purple leopard print tee and I have no idea where/when she got it. I don’t remember delivering it, though I may have done so. It actually looks really cute on her though.

hot tip!!! if ur villager has a package for someone else u can open it and if u approve of the gift u can rewrap it with the gift wrap at nooks cranny and it counts for the delivery

also i think theres an option to tell them u think its ugly and they take it off and tell u to forget about it but idk if that means that theyll wear it later or not

but also dom once tried to give judy an instant muscles suit but i never gave it to her bc CAN U IMAGINE
