I don't have them, but I'm just curious to know how trading villagers works in NH. There aren't cards for the new villagers, right?

No, the new villagers have not been made into cards, hopefully they will. But all you gotta do is fill your town and you can use amiibos to push other villagers of your choice out. And I haven't got isabelle yet but someone posted that you can complain to her about a villager and they will move out, not sure how true that is though.

Oooh, nice! I'm about to move in my ninth villager with amiibo (Whitney) and I was hoping that the amiibo campers could push out two villagers I don't want hanging around.

Good luck to you on your search. I hope Nintendo adds a feature later that makes it easier to get who we want—like with Welcome Amiibo.
