catch a ditto,
and don't evolve your starter Pokemon.
then go to the day care man,
and put your starter Pokemon w/ ditto.
wait for them to make an egg,
then hatch it.
after the egg's hatched save it and trade it with another trainer...

then, you'll have all 3 starter Pokemon!

has anyone thought of this?

I'm sure many people do this. Also why not evolve your starter? That doesn't affect the breeding process.

If u mean for example breed totodile then trade it with someone for cyndaquil then yes this has been done by me and my friend many many times.
