Has anyone completed the fish and deep-sea exhibit?

Yep! I completed mine the day after the Fishing Tourney in March. That was when I FINALLY caught the last deep sea critter (darn 4% appearance rate). Now I have to wait to get my golden rod.

My collection would have been completed in March if I hadn't forgotten salmons and a crab in September...
Now I have to be patient for a while...

Agh my fish and sea exhibit is complete except for the horseshoe crab that comes out in september OTL

How do you get the golden rod? Do you need to look for it in the museum on the second floor? (I have all the fish and deep sea creatures but never go up there to see what Celeste is selling anymore)

I've done the deep sea one but I'm missing summer fish and bugs (started playing September ) Gotta wait til August until I can get 100% completion, I think.

You get the gold rod at the next fishing tourney (I think it's on the 12th), talk to the guy that hosts it and he'll give you one!
