Eggs are traditionally associated with rebirth, so I guess they symbolize Jesus or something. And the Easter Bunny's there because he can.Bulerias said:What the heck do EGGS and the EASTER BUNNY have to do with the resurrection of Jesus Christ? Secular, PAGAN traditions celebrated in conjunction with holy days make me sick. Sorry.
Not to mention, the Catholic Church is in BIG trouble right now...
Yeah, no. Eggs are a remnant of pagan traditions.Jak said:Eggs are traditionally associated with rebirth, so I guess they symbolize Jesus or something. They are there so not only people who are not religious or a different religion can celebrate it without being religious. Makes more people enjoy the fun of Easter and Christmas and more holidays.Bulerias said:What the heck do EGGS and the EASTER BUNNY have to do with the resurrection of Jesus Christ? Haha, no, these secular "traditions" are there only to make money. Kind of like Halloween, you know? Corporations piggy-back on any kind of tradition as long as they get a lot of $$$ out of it. I am areligious; agnostic I suppose you can call it. But I think religious holidays should be strictly religious.nook said:They are there so not only people who are not religious or a different religion can celebrate it without being religious. Santa Claus, for example, has nothing to do with Christmas...
What about him? I have a feeling he didn't wear red and didn't have a workshop run by elves...Gnome said:St. NickBulerias said:Haha, no, these secular "traditions" are there only to make money.
