how will you enjoy the day?
i'm looking forward to burning hot dogs on the grill later this afternoon,
setting off bottle rockets, roman candles, and other small colorful explosions
and of course,
I will actually be working and visiting my chocolate lab, Keagan. He stays with my grandma at her house because I stay in an apartment. The fireworks scare Keagan, and my grandma is working all day today.
I'm helping out with a concert that the symphony I'm an intern for hosts every year. it's so hot out here lol. prob won't watch fireworks this evening cause I'll be too tired but I'm hoping my friend can come over so we can hang out

Happy 4th of July . Hope everyone is having a great day. I worked most of the day. Came home to make a burger and fries and spent the evening with my dog Aurora. She’s not a fan of fireworks so we will be listening to music to drown out the sound of the fireworks.
Happy 4th! we actually spent some time with family outside today (cookout) and a couple of days ago. That is pretty much as far as we went with it. No fireworks for us since we have dogs, we just hang with them at home, and no parade this year due to a family member's injury. We usually went for them since they perform in a parade.
We actually do more during a local glass festival we have in town. It is a pretty big event since there are a few glass factories here and we go out to the food stands for that. There are rides and little shops and contests like some quilting thing which is cool to go look at.
But for the 4th, we don't have anything like that locally and we are with family usually anyway.
Happy 4th of July! I’m celebrating by reading a book on U.S. history. Chances are the fireworks show near my apartment will be loud, so I’ll have to wear noise cancelling headphones. It’ll be fun though!

I'm staying home tonight but I was still happy to have the day off work. My dog is also doing really well with all the fireworks. It was the people making noise outside that set him off instead. He's a strange one.
i didn't celebrate today out of protest of certain US events. it's not like i've been celebrating for years, anyways, so i've missed out on nothing. but the weather was nice so we grilled a little bit. kept kitties calm from fireworks.
Time for barbecue and fireworks! Sad though its going to rain but that ain't stopping us from having fun!
