Last weekend it rained on my island after I had visited Kapp'n and I already had a gyroid fragment buried from the boat tour when it was raining. The next day I didn't find a random gyroid that you could find after it rains on your island. I only had the one that I buried. I thought that maybe if you had a fragment already buried when it is raining the next day that gyroid cancels out the randomly spawned one. Or I thought that I just wasn't lucky since I thought they weren't guaranteed to spawn after a rain that that there was only a chance of it spawning. Does anyone know if there is a canceling effect?
Anywho, it rained again and I didn't have a fragment already buried. The next day I found two gyroids on my island. I know I didn't miss one the last rain so I thought that maybe it "made up" from the last time of them missing. Well it rained yesterday, and again I didn't have fragments buried. Today I surprisingly found two gyroids again.
Can we seriously find two after it rains on our island?? I thought we could only find one and it wasn't guaranteed. Is there a cap on the spawn? Was I just really lucky? And, is a gyroid guaranteed to spawn on your island after it rains or is it just a high probability?

And one last thing, have you done anything creative or goofy with your gyroids? I would love to see and hear about them :lemon:

Not sure about your problem with the after rain gyroids. I usually find one or two after it rains. Now that luck is in the game, maybe that has an effect? Maybe a bad luck day? I don't know. Maybe its just very well-hidden and you still haven't found it yet. There was a mushroom that I didnt notice until a few days into December.

As for gyroids, I'm pretty obsessed with the squeakoid. Over time, I plan to have whole choirs of squeakoids on different parts of my island, all in different colours. Tremoloids are great for Halloween/horror themed islands, since they look like pretty ghost-like and make a spooky noise. I have several in my haunted themed house.
