guy is too stupid to use steam, blames valve

I'm surprised he even knows how to run that Mac.
i don't think he really does

he got a warning saying his video card wouldn't work with the game and was confused when the game didn't work

derp

Derp.
And I love how he's complaining.
OHH BAWW, I WAITED AN HOUR TO DOWNLOAD A GAME.
On my crappy connection, it takes 8 hours for a 5 GB game. >__>

I .... I ..... I hate .. I HATE this guy.

Flames.... coming out of my head...

I mean honestly this guy doesn't understand. The game download is the most basic bare bones build of the game. Because of how they host content they pretty much have to keep the basic build the first one you download, and then update from there. Don't want it starting automatically? TRY THE SETTINGS. Can't see why steam is different from a website? TRY LOOKING AT THE OTHER TABS, I mean did he not read up on what features are offered? I am offended by his ignorance, if you want to criticize steam at least understand what it does. Ignoramus.

"oh no it changes my color scheme when i play a video game"

*censored.4.0* you're supposed to be playing a video game not admiring your "natural" colors

I didn't watch the video, but I read the description, and I did find the fact that Steam changes the display colors to be quite annoying. I started up Portal, just to make sure that it worked, and my whole screen got a blue tint to it. Not that it's a real problem, because you'll be playing the game, but what if you want to switch applications for something without closing your game? You have to deal with a weirdly colored screen, which makes it hard to even see things. Not sure why Steam does it, but I don't like it. Of course, it's no reason to not play games on Steam, it's just a minor annoyance.

You don't minimize a game, you close it. If you leave it running, you risk crashing the game, as well as the fact that all your other applications are gonna run slowly too.
Also, I found the best video response ever.

someone told me it *censored.3.0*s with how the game is displayed color-wise, but i'm not sure how accurate that is.

The game didn't crash for me, and it was running smoothly even with multiple applications open.

The colors of the game seemed fine (though I have no idea what the real colors of the game are supposed to look like, but it seemed fine to me). It's when you change applications that you notice the color difference.

I don't know how Mac Graphics cards work. If they're not integrated, (AKA dedicated) you can set a universal color/brightness setting

I tried to take a screenshot to show how it turns the screen blue, but the screenshot turns out normal because it only changes the colors of the display, lol.

Another thing I dislike about Steam... It uses a custom interface. I hate it when Mac applications use a custom interface. They're never as good as the native Mac interface, they're usually too dull and blocky, and moving the cursor and scrolling is always too stiff and jerky. Steam is no exception. They should've just stuck with the native interface, instead of using their own, which just doesn't measure up to other applications.

I can see where it can get annoying, for instance, Itunes, Steam, and Safari all do that.
Still, I think it looks nice because of the drop shadow. You should've seen how crappy it looked a couple of months ago, before they updated it.
