idk if this topic exists somewhere else but im growing hybrids and im finding it extremely difficult at the moment. hybrids are barely growing and i do not have fertilizer to help with the breeding process. does anyone have any tips or tricks that they use to help with the breeding process that doesn't involve fertilizer? i've heard that different placements help and putting a jacob's ladder next to them helps, but not a single hybrid grows. i have room and stuff around the flowers, maybe not enough? maybe i have bad luck or something but any suggestions would be great. c:

Honestly i have no idea but l could donate fertilizer or water your flowers (with the golden watering can) to help you out

It takes time! Hang in there :)

You might already be doing this, but I just put two flowers diagonally next to each other, and ONLY water those two flowers. I do four sets of two, and I get a hybrid from each set every day.

So, for example, I will put two pink roses diagonally next to each other, and water them. Do the same with three other pairs and water them (make sure no other flowers are in the way).
This should produce a hybrid per day from each pair.

I only ever don't get hybrids when villagers go around watering all my plants -.-

The biggest help for me has been to ONLY water the flowers you're trying to get hybrids from. (Which means you'll need the beautiful town ordinance or all of your other flowers will die).

yeah i have that ordinance so i dont have to worry about that. since this has been suggested twice i have faith in this procedure

ive been having the same problem basically even with jacob's ladders and fertilizer ugh. its always giving me regular flowers and maybe a hybrid once in a while. im thinking its because i have too many flowers around my town since my inventory and basement are both stuffed, but i dont water anything but 1-2 groups of flowers to get a certain hybrid. it just seems to take a lot longer than it does for others.

also ive been able to grow the hybrids i need except blue roses, i have the red rose that was hybrid i guess? and the purple together and i get nothing. the only blue flower ive been able to get is 1 violet and i didnt even use fertilizer or anything ugh;ghs

we both cursed omg ; v ;

Make sure to only water the pairs you want to get a hybrid from - don't water huge groups of flowers, it just doesn't work as well >_<

Really? I water huge groups of hybrids and they grow more often than in pairs. Specially with black roses interesting ...

I found that when I watered large groups it wasn't certain whether I would get hybrids everyday, whereas with pairs I know that I will definitely get at least 4. But then maybe that's just me. If that works for you then keep at it! :P

I will try your method! also does it matter if you have a lot planted in your town? I swear I have flowers everywhere lmao

so i am confirming the method that was recommended by a few people and YES IT WORKS. i had another hybrid the next day

I dunno if you do this already, but use the beach to breed hybrids; this way there's no risk of someone plopping a house down on top of them, and they still grow and breed on the sand.

Only do them in pairs, even if you have a large cluster of hybrids all in one patch. Keep the large group off to the side or store them and then water only two at a time: I think you can grow a max of 4 hybrids a day? Something like that, so only water ones you really want.

uuuuh I dunno, maybe someone more knowledgeable about hybrids can help, but these work out for me c':
