Grass growth

Sooo, I'm really annoyed with grass wear in New Leaf. I haven't been running AT ALL and I'm walking on paths a lot, still I can't help noticing that the grass is fading away really quickly. I've planted flowers on the dirt patches and water them every day and yet, nothing seems to change. Nintendo said that grass would regrow quickly in New Leaf, but to be honest I don't see it like AT ALL, I've been watering the flowers on my dirt patches for weeks and nothing seems to change ... Have you guys noticed the same thing? Or is your grass regrowing pretty fast in your opinion? 'Cause I can't see it and the grass wear is really starting to take some of my fun at Animal Crossing away ... I really wish they wouldn't have included it in New Leaf.
So if you have any tricks on how to regrow grass faster, please share. And I'd like to know what you think about this whole supposedly faster regrowth thing.

I haven't had any grass wear. I really wanna see a "desert village" just for lols, though.

Grass grows back extremely fast. It only takes a week or two for the grass under a house to grow.

Well that's weird then, because for me it just doesn't work ... I didn't notice any grass growing back and it's really bothering me.

There are no secrets to regrowing grass. Planting flowers on top of the dirt patches is supposed to help and rainy days will make the grass grow back faster. Those are the only two things I've heard help. Paths don't stop grass wear and fertilizer has no effect either.

if you're willing to TT, you can also regrow grass by going a week or two into the future and coming back.

other than that, yeah. just plant flowers and water them. grass wear is apparently pretty bad in late summer, just do your best to keep trouble spots contained.
