So for the last hour I have been doing the villager reset trick to find a good villager to put in my main town. I got rosie to move in randomly so now I have 9 villagers in my 2nd town and 10 in my main town (but broccolo is moving out of my main town in 2 days and I can tt to get him out quick) anyways how exactly do I get rosie in boxes so I Dan persuade her to move to my main town? any help would be appreciated :)

There's really no easy way.

But I got Leonardo to move this morning by following this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jIuEm8Bq9I

I basically started a new character and spoke to all residents.
Then I time travelled back a month and spoke to all residents except Leonardo.
Then TT each day forwards until my Mayor character got the Letter Leonardo was moving.
Then TT to the date the letter say's he was moving and job done.

It took me only 20mins but can take agessss sometimes...

What I do is tt 1 day forward, talk to everyone but the villager I want to boot, 1 more day forward, talk to everyone but that villager again, and then tt 2 days back. Usually this caused the villager I wanted out to ping. If it didn't, I ran around making sure no one moving/convincing whoever wanted to move to stat and restarted the process. I didn't have any problems with it - never lost anyone in a tt accident while getting all of my dreamies.

My way doesn't tt so much.

Yeh but there's no guarantee they'll ping.
They only ping if you're really good friends with them and spoke to them loads.

TT can be a bit silly though, but depends how badly you want them to move.

I needed to make way for Tangy so I had to do it xD lol

It helps if you're set to Beautiful Town. You only get like 3 weeds in a month.

If you tt two days forward someone might decide to move during that day in between... Heard stories of how villagers were lost because of that. Not 100% sure if tting back 2 days has the same effect but it never raised problems for me.

I'd create a new char, talk to all villagers except Rosie and then TT 1 day at a time (Never going backwards! As I have lost a villager TTing backwards without warning before) And wait until Isabelle says she is moving the next day. ~ If you TT more than a day at a time you could miss this. And don't expect her to ping if you haven't spoke to her in a week! ~ To avoid that every 6 days talk to all villagers with your mayor.

If a different villager tries to move it is safe to skip to the day they are leaving. If you're then left with 8 villagers then skip ahead until you have 9, but then start going a day at a time again.

I am trying this way xD thanks everyone

Well I was being lazy and only talking to 7-8 of the villagers since I couldn't find them, then opal moved out so I tt'd a few days til there was a new plot. And that same day rosie pinged to move so she is moving to my main town now. In the future doing it right I think will make it a lot easier xD
