Goose in my town, not a villager

Goose has been in my fiances town for nearly a week now.
He's not a villager.
He's only ever on main street.
Says things like "I ran all the way here, can you believe it?"

Any idea why he's there?

Was he a previous resident? Villagers who have left will eventually appear in your Main street daily as visitors.

Not that I'm aware of, I can ask him when he wakes up. But if I remember correctly I think he was like "WTF if this? Goose? Who the hell is goose?"

That's weird...the only way he could be there would be if he was a previous resident. If not, maybe it's a glitch or something? I've never heard of it before.
