So Merengue told me a few days ago she's moving and I was like "yeah ok bye good luck" and every single day after she kept pinging to let me know she's leaving in x days and I again go "yeah ok bye good luck"............

And then one day, yesterday, she pinged me to say "I'm not moving anymore"

I AM SO ANGRY AHHH GET OUT YOU'RE IN MY PATH

I am sure others have experienced this. Tell me your story.

There's always a chance they change their mind even if you let them go, didn't you know? That's why when I know some unwanted villager is on the leaving, I don't talk to him/her anymore. Just in case! Because there were already two or three times someone told me like "But I thought we were friends! I decided it, I'll stay here 'til we are best buddies ever!"
That damn thing happened to me with Jambette and Cobb, took them FOREVER TO MOVE OUT!

Yeah, back when I didn't know much about the game I wanted Chops and one of the anteaters to get out of my town. They always said they'd move then changed their minds. So devastating every time. That's when I had to look up guides online and eventually came upon TBT.

This has happened to me once, don't remember who did it to me though. Another time I had Goose, and I was cycling to get rid of him. It took me hours and hours... He just wouldn't leave, and he wasn't even my tenth... I hated him too. Only because he moved in at a very terrible time.

I hateeee it when this happens! That's why I like to just use the gossip method, unless it's a dreamie. Then, of course, I'll stop them.

Mmm, that is odd, I know they ping you only ONE time to tell you they are leaving, after that the only way you can talk about the moving is if you talk to them, but they wont ping you to talk about the subject. So my advice, after the first ping and telling them BYE, don't talk to them again, but if you have the urge to keep talking them, save and continue before talking them, and if they change their mind, reset and talk to them again to confirm they are moving out.

The same happened to me with Truffles, I wanted her out so badly, and I was very upset when she changed her mind. Oh those times when I didn't know anything of Animal Crossing...yeah, what a times.

Omggg I HATE when unwanted villagers decide not to move. Robin asked to move a couple days ago and then changed her mind and said, "I don't want to forget my memories here! I'm going to stay after all!"

one of the anteaters

I love the anteaters... i love their fluffy tails when they walk...

Anyway, i wanted my Pancetti the pig out, she said i dont wanna go the first time i allowed her to move... but then when she pinged another time, she finally got her ugly pig ass out of my town
"I don't want to forget my memories here! I'm going to stay after all!"

thats what pancetti said :I

I believe in one of my old towns, I absolutely despised Charlise (I still do) and I was living for the day she would move out. The day finally comes and she tells me she wants to move out and i'm externally screaming until she then says she wants to become better friends. Back then I didn't know you could just switch the game off to get a different response, so I was pretty mad. After that I made it my mission to never see her again. She was so annoying.

Hazel did this too. Now she haunts main street.

That's what happened to me with Klaus!! He wanted to move so I said goodbye and he was like lelnojk and stayed. He did that twice in a row!! I literally wanted to die. The third time he pinged and I avoided him until he ended up moving. Thank goodness.

Legit, when Lolly asked to move after living in my town for a year, I said yes. Then she said she was staying instead. So, I closed my game and tried again. Told Lolly yes again. Said she was staying again. I had to reset like 10 times before she said yes... -_-

You could always quit your game without saving and ignore that conversation so it never happened...

Haha I am glad there's others who went through similar.
I thought the only way for them to change their mind is if someone tells them not to move.
Had no idea they would suddenly change their mind out of no where.

SIGH, oh well -___-

I hadn't realised they would ping you to change their mind, although I guess it makes sense that they can do that really.
I've had several change their minds when I used to talk to them after they had agreed to move. I just used to close the game without saving so they'd still leave, now I just avoid them if I don't want to tt to their moving date.
I will never forget growing a real dislike for Midge. She was one of my original villagers and the very last to ping to move....of course at that time I hadn't realised they could change their minds. I spoke to her, told her to move again, she gave a very vague answer which I now know to mean she was changing her mind. Waited patiently for her moving date and she didn't leave...took a long time after that to get her to ask again. Was really frustrating with her holding a place where a dreamie could go so I ended up having an irrational dislike for her

Hate that part of the game

I've never had a villager recant a move request after I told them to scoot off. Maybe I'm lucky (maybe because I try to get their pic before I let them move?)
