So far today, nothing big has happened. After yesterday's gyroid face/birthday incident, I half expected to see fireworks or Resetti bringing me a birthday cake. Instead, nothing weird happened.
But even though no glitches happened, I discovered something weird I thought I should share. I was talking to my cousin about my Animal Crossing game today, and we got to talking about the patterns you can make at the Able Sisters. I mentioned that there was one really interesting default pattern of an eye in my town, and was musing over how it wasn't in Wild World or City Folk when he said that there's no default patterns like that. I wish I had a camera so I could take a pic of it, but my TV has major glare issues anyway. Maybe I could try to draw it out somewhere?
Anyways, it seems more and more likely that my game was hacked at some point before I got it. I don't know that much about hacking, but I'm surprised that it can still affect you if you start over with a new town. Maybe it affected the memory card in specific? I really need to make a new town on my other memory card to test this theory out...

btw it must be pretty creepy getting all the glitches and I agree with most people, your game must have been hacked by its previous owner.
