give me suggestions for rooms in a house!

secret is a character i created to write letters to when i'm feeling upset. he's presented as a mysterious, nameless figure, and as such i've secluded his house and i've left it super small.

however, i've started thinking that i should make his house bigger. i don't know what i'd decorate all the rooms with, but i have plenty of bells and paying everything off won't be a problem. but i don't know what the mansion of a mysterious man would look like on the inside.

i've already considered him having a room of gorgeous furniture (though i don't know which room it would be) and rococo furniture, either the default color or refurbished to black. if you have any other suggestions, please tell me! i love decorating houses and it'll be fun to put extra furniture to use!

Hmm, maybe have an office/study kind of room with a desk to write/read letters and bookshelves throughout the room? In general, I think you can't go wrong with bathrooms and kitchens imo. Since you said his character is mysterious, maybe having a spooky/horror room would suit him?

What I like to do with extra rooms of my side characters is to think about their passions and hobbies. Does your character have things he likes? You can implement those ideas into rooms. Or maybe think of a show/book the character would like and design a room based on that?

i was kinda thinking of the horror theme too, but secret isn't supposed to be scary. just mysterious.
i'm thinking he could read letters in a library, but i don't know if it should be the main room or the back room

maybe i could give him a bit of vague backstory somehow? idk

Maybe he has a collection of something. Fossels, ore, dolls, or teddy bears. Lol.

A room where he keeps all his money. Where did he get all this money? Very mysterious.
