I got the game just over a year ago and around November last year I stopped playing the game. I just didn't like the game like I used to, I didn't know what to do in the game. I restarted my town in an attempt to get back into the game but I still didn't like it like I used to.
I really want to get back into the game because I really liked the acnl fandom. If you have any ideas that I could try, I would love to hear them.
Thank youuu <333

inb4 this gets moved

I'm going through the same thing right now, so know you're not alone.
I've been on the forums for months without playing, but I also really want to get back into it. Whenever someone like Peanut Butter Gamer talk about it, I really miss the game. Think about getting all your dreamies and making an awesome house! Plus, all the good memories from when you used to play.

Ive been on these forums for so long now, but I hardly play ac or any game anymore because of school. I think about how fun it would be making the best town… but I just don't have time! :(

After my long break I started to set up little goal for myself that I could dig myself into :) It has helped me really get into the game again. And I try not to rush with the goals, but only play a little each day instead of all day one day and get all the goals done, if that makes sense?

Gaaaah, I know exactly how you guys feel. This is where I am. I was SOOOO into the game for a whole year, and then I felt like I did everything and there was nowhere to go in the game anymore. But I've still been on this site off and on.

It helps to watch LP's and see other people's towns. It also helps to check these forums and the discussions always get me excited about the game again. It reminds me of all the things I love so much and then I kind of miss them. I'm at the point of thinking maybe of getting a second copy and starting a new town. But then I get overwhelmed because I spent so many HOURS/DAYS/WEEKS/MONTHS on the last town that I don't think I can commit that kind of time again.

But then I also really miss the game. *sigh* I just don't know what to recommend to you, since I'm in the same boat. I like what others are saying though about setting a goal. Whether it's villagers or a specific town design or getting badges, etc. Goals always make things more interesting.

Also, online trades help. I think that's half the fun of the game, the online aspect. And hopefully while doing trades you can make some friends, and then that's a whole other aspect. Hanging out in each other's towns, doing island tours, I miss all that stuff, since I stopped playing and lost almost all of those friends I had made (or they stopped playing too). Making new friends would be fun too, so I suggest you give that a try. :)

I think what LyraVale said is very true when it comes to the amount of hours put into the game. It's a lot of hours! That's why, with my new town, I'm pacing myself :D Like only play an hour or two a day instead of 8 or 10, I've noticed I do that a lot with similiar games, I dive my head in and then I don't come up for air and then I just get really tired of it. But when I don't spend so much time each day, I'm actually looking forward to playing each day :D
