Getting a golden watering can?

Must you talk to Isabelle every day for 15 days about the citizen satisfaction, or do you get the watering can after 15 days w/o talking to her? I'm kinda confused.

Well, when I was trying to get it, I talk to her everyday just to make sure I still have the perfect town status

You only have to talk to her once after having had a perfect town for 15 days to get the golden watering can.

You definitely don't have to talk to her every day to get the golden can. Any other characters you have or create can also receive golden cans as long as you retain perfect town status.
