Get rid of Cornimer?

I got Tortimer for maybe 2-3 days and now I seem to be stuck with Cornimer. It's been almost two weeks, is there any way yo get Tortimer back? I thought Cornimer was a random thing that happens occasionally, not... this. It's honestly getting on my nerves so much I don't even want to go to the island anymore.

He will be gone on December 2nd. The acorn/pine cone season lasts until December 1st for the northern hemisphere.
