Garden Center Woes...I'm Very Confused!

Hi all. So I started my town about 2 weeks ago. After Isabelle gave me the watering can I accidentally sold it before I could water a single flower. Since then I've planted over 30 flowers from the tours onto my beach (for hybrids later.) Have planted a few trees as well as pulled a few weeds. The garden shop still has not even begun to build. Do the planted flowers on the beach not count towards the 30? Do I HAVE to water flowers to get the garden shop? What do I do? I want Leif to come to town! Kicks is building as well as the first upgrade of Nooklings. Still no garden shop.

Help!!!!

I think you may have to plant flowers from bags in order for them to count...I don't think it'll work if you just place flowers from random places...you have to literally plant them, as in, from the bags a flower comes in when you buy them.

Just realized something...if Nooklings is currently upgrading right now, then maybe the gardening shop won't begin to be built until after the Nooklings are done, considering the two buildings will be right next to each other.

Since you can't water flowers or plant any from bags, as long as you pull weeds and plant trees 30 times (not each, but in total), then you should be good

Try moving the flowers off your beach and planting them around your town instead.

It might be that, or it might be that you need to water the flowers to get the Garden Shop.

If you post a thread in Retail asking for a watering can, I'm sure someone will give you one.

I managed to sell my silver rod and it took two weeks for Celeste to put a new one for sale. I just wasn't paying attention and the rod blent in with the other items I was selling at Re-Tail. It's possible to do it

Yeah, even I accidentally sell things.
Not that that's supposed to be surprising.
