There is a button to select more than one item. I think it's X or Y (might be L or R but I'm mostly sure it's X or Y... too tired to remember right now).

I haven't played mine for years. I wonder what my town and houses looked like. I think my house was decorated with cabin and Jingle. I'm gonna try playing tomorrow. I hope my kids didn't erase everything.lol.
