Gameboy Advance link cable

I received my Gameboy Advance link cable, to hook it up to the Gamecube today.

Now I'm trying to hook it up and the plug, that goes into the GBA, doesn't fit!
I had to let it shipped over from the US, because I couldn't find a SINGLE cable in Europe!

I REALLY hope the ports for the GBA DON'T differ between The NTSC and PAL! Otherwise I have throw this one away, because I have no use for it.

How do I find this out? I own a trational GBA, no SP or anything.

I could fit the cable into an original, I think. I have both a GBA and a GBA SP.

I got it in there finally, but it was quite a struggle.

Micro's won't work, but all the others will. If you decide to move onto the e-reader, those are region locked, so you'll need whatever regions cards/game to use them.
