So in conclusion, this is just a big, fat, out of the way misunderstanding. Does this lend credence to anyone's alignment? Honestly, I've got a weak townread on Antonio because of it. Just the complete and utter helplessness and panic seems genuine from my perspective.

i'm not on the same page w/ the slight townlean seeing as everyone is else is saying it's nai. i made the error of reading people wrongly last game based on their defensiveness and desperation (e.g. dino for instance)
i'm gonna be honest, i have nothing this phase thus far minus the timezone convo apparently counting as a "yesish" towards substantive posts. i asked bc i wanted to know what fits the requirement

Honestly I disagree. If there's another topic to move to, I'd say let's move there, but right now I don't think that exists. I'd rather have content than a dead thread. If this is just v/v, then that'll give us info on who those coasters are, whereas if we just let it die and stare at eachother we don't get that kind of information. If yall have a better convo to move to though, by all means, bring it up.

meme banter on page 2 was sending a slight red flag but I don't think pointing it out when no one else was bringing anything up was a good idea. It wasn't obscuring anything important and it in of itself was giving me intel that's kind of moot now so that's unfortunate

I don't think you were wrong to make that sort of read in the last game - thinking that it was poor reasoning just because it was wrong is a fairly good example of results oriented thinking. (Which is obviously poor.)
It's just very important to consistently re-evaluate people with the understanding that mafia can towntell and town can mafiatell.

Also interested in the first sentence - did you mean to say "I agree with everyone else saying it's nai"?
The way that sentence is worded conveys the message "I don't agree with your read because everyone else doesn't agree with your read."
Which would be.. horrific, to say the least. So do please clarify.

We in the UK get daylight savings so GMT turns to BST over summer. The weather's turn crap here damit.

I'm going to rescind the portion of my first post in this thread where I discouraged people from posting one liners and fluff posts because honestly anything is good when the game is this dry.


That being said, while there is next to no content, there isn't no content.
So I want to stop seeing people pop into the thread and go "Well, I expected there to be more to read. I have no reads. There's no content. Good bye."
Because that a) can't really be analysed by anyone else, therefore continues the problem and b) isn't true.

If you can't think of anything to talk about, then give your opinions on the following:
Kat's interjection into the Antonio v Aerious debacle and her slight townread on Antonio for the RNG Roll.
(I strongly disagree with the reasoning for the townlean but I have a similar read for a different reason. I am Null on Kat for the read - I don't think it's fabricated, I just think it's a bad read.)
Guava's lack of game related content despite activity.
(From my perspective it I don't find it alignment relevant whatsoever, I'm more trying to prod them to comment more on the game.)

i dont think guavas lack of game related content is ai since a. its day 1 and there has been somethings to discuss but tbf not that much and b. iirc in marioverse she didnt contribute much it was mostly memes n stuff and she flipped town.

i dont rly agree with kat slightly townleaning antonio for the rng roll, imo that suggestion wasnt rly ai and i took it more as a joke since nothing was rly happening.

as for antonio vs aerious, it didnt feel very ai but i guess i slightly townlean both of them (for now) since it seemed like town v town and nothing came up as scummy it was kinda just a misunderstanding.

A) pretty null on Kat for the interjection. I can relate to the proactive townie feeling of obligation to keep the conversation going if the thread is dead bc if nobody is talking it's impossible to assess anything, but it could also just have been an attempt to maintain distraction if aerious/antonio is v/v. that said, my experience of both aerious and antonio's playstyles is that that back and forth was never going to be concise anyway and could potentially have gone on for a lot longer naturally so i don't really think kat's encouragement was necessary.

tldr kat would have reasons for it as either alignment i think but it gives me a gut townie lean on her. re: her townread on antonio, i don't agree with it (still null on aerious and antonio bc that conversation wasn't really relevant or revealing in any way imo) but the read itself doesn't raise any red flags for me

B) guava is always like this it's just her playstyle. despite being really familiar with her she's one player i really struggle to read bc she memes a lot as either alignment

So, about suggesting RNG, the thing is that, the reasoning for Antonio to do it in the first place was for reaction test and getting the ball rolling, what supposedly would be a town thing since we have to work with breadcrumbs in this setup specially on day 1, BUT it's just about not underestimating scum I guess. It cancels out and I don't think it's AI, then?

Nah it got pointed out to stop the meme posting, by aerious I believe.

Ace in particular was pinging me. It wasn't a strong feeling which is why I didn't out it in the thread, but I got the sense that the memeing felt semi-forced, particularly in post #37. I believe my only other game with him was his first, so take with a grain of salt, but I distinctly remember a general feeling of nervousness there (even beyond my tunneling of him that game) and he was townie, and that feels absent here.

I also noted that volt seemed nervous for memeing in hind-sight. Don't think that's AI yet but that's in my hip pocket.

It felt like bad logic, yeah, but I got the sense that mafia!him wouldn't want to do that because it'd draw eyes to him for faulty logic, whereas town!him wouldn't mind making that sacrifice to get people to actually talk. In the end no one found him sus for it (even the newbies) and I'm slightly surprised tbh.

i agree that the whole RNG thing gave townie vibes bc it verged into twtbaw territory which is why it just didn't ping me at all bc it was pretty obvious that it wasn't a legitimate method or serious suggestion of choosing the chop for day 1. THAT SAID i erroneously townlocked ness in the last game for doing dumb stuff that was so wolfy i thought maf would never ever in a million years do it so i am ~ learning from my mistakes ~ which is why i'm not going to give antonio any townie points for this

i did note how defensive they were in peoples' responses to it but as has been said before that's pretty NAI until i see more from them
