Game crashed with black screen.

I no longer feel confident playing and don't know what to do.

I just loaded my game (physical copy) and I was talking to Flora after only a minute, and I got a black screen with an error and an option to report the crash to nintendo.

Does anyone know what this is?

I got the switch and game in april.

It has loaded and working now, but why the crash?

haven't had any crashes on my switch, but you should be able to find more information online with the error code that was in the message

I don't remember. I was too freaked out.

It just went black and gave me an option to report it to nintendo.

My game crashed once just like that. But my game is fine right now

My game crashed like that once before, but I haven’t had any problems since. I was terrified my game corrupted when it happened lol so I totally get how you’re feeling

I can't play because I'm now completely anxious, wondering when it's going to happen again!

This thing is less than two months old and it's already giving me a BSOD!

It has also been very lagged.

Reminds me of that one time I was playing Kirby Star Allies with my brother and a couple of friends; the game crashed during one session of boss rush mode because there were too many attack animations/effects on-screen, which was causing some pretty bad lag.

On the bright side, ACNH crashing doesn't seem to be too common (this is the first I've heard of it) and can probably be fixed/patched up in the future; the same could be said about its performance issues. This was the case with the Switch version of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled during the first few months of its launch.
