Sooooo I tried my hand at plot resetting but misread the post.... so a few days passed in my new town..... and three random villagers moved in while i was floundering about..... ;v; never again,
That’s unfortunate. How did that happen? Did you keep the new character when you tried to do it? Or I assume you made a new character as that’s what I did to plot reset.
I totally misread thr part about how it has to be a new character each time ;v; I just kept jumping back and forth over the same two days with my mayor.... Oh well haha

I'm so sorry. Unfortunately it has to be a new player character in order for it to work. I did this a couple times myself when I was first learning to plot reset too, so don't feel too bad.
