Just wondering what other people have experienced :D On my part, at one point everyone in town was wearing either the BB tee or the rainbow tee 0__0 I'd see villagers share a BB tee right before someone else converted them to the rainbow it was like a shirt war

There was a time when punchy was wearing a really ugly orange shirt and i spent days sending him maybe 4 different shirts per day but he hadn't changed at all and then he invited to his house and, ,, it was full of shirts _(:3 」∠)_ and at some point he even tried selling the shirts i sent him back to me? The Audacity

(another villager got him to change eventually but still. I thought we were friends punchy ;n; )

This thread is so relatable xD the amount of times I’ve had one villager start wearing an ugly shirt (usually the yellow and blue stripe tee or the orange design from Someone in Anytown) which then spreads to most of the time is frustrating af. Though one time both Mitzi and Tangy started wearing the frilly apron which looked adorable on them, which Cesar (a big cranky grumpy gorilla) then copied - that was hilarious lmao

In my past town, Bones gave the majority of my villagers his caveman tee.

In my pastel pink town.
Everyone had that caveman tee on.

Everyone.
From Flurry, to Chai, to Marshal, to Marty..
It was a major plague.

I love my boy Bones, but he really didn't have to go out and do me like that.

I never got them back into decent clothing. I left out QR shirts in the shop, but still the majority just wanted to wear that caveman tee.

Yes, I'm still salty and it haunts me at night.

My villagers looove wearing shirts other villagers give them. they're always super ugly, too. >_>
ruby's now wearing this ugly yellow plaid & beau's sporting a.. well, a sports shirt.

With the cranky villagers, either the tag on the shirt is itchy and freaking them out or they pick something butt ugly.

A while back I had a bunch of frogs adopting the Freddy Krueger look.

And then there was the denim vest epidemic in my pig town. This particular item of clothing spread to six oinkers so I decided to make it the town uniform and got the other four to wear it.

Okay, i'm actually enjoying reading through this thread, sksksksksk this has never happened to me and i hope it wont!

Not too long ago Stitches, Lopez, and Chief were all wearing the orange shirt. I thought it was funny how they’re kind of orange-y villagers.

It actually wasn’t funny. It took over a week to get them to change. And, Lopez went right back to the orange shirt the very next day. : )

It's actually pretty lucky that you haven't had an ugly shirt epidemic :D cherish it!!

And omg yes join me in contemplating all the things that can go wrong when villagers try to follow "fashion trends"

okay now im scared. i open my game and now all my villagers are all wearing ugly shirts, this is my worst nightmare, *wakes up* Oh it was actually just a nightmare *sigh of relief*

I will now cherish these moments where my villagers are actually wearing nice looking clothes instead of ugly ones. i hope this good dream never ends.

I have had several shirt epidemics in my town, but none were as funny as the gang wars that occurred in my husband's town. At one point, he had two shirts taking over the town. He called them the Leopards, who wore the leopard shirt, and the Dreamsicles, who wore the orange shirt from the Able Sisters. They had imaginary turf wars and kept trying to win over new members. When Paula moved from my town to his, he found her stuck on the bridge one day, surrounded by the Leopards, and their leader, Vladimir. Vladimir kept pushing Paula around, but to her credit, she never joined either gang.

i LOVE this so much, this put a smile on my face, thanks for sharing this! Now i wish i had a shirt epidemic too ●︿●

In my current town, Kyle got into a conversation with Freya in front of my Train Station and I saw Kyle change into a picnic tee and it looks HORRIBLE on him. I don't know how he managed to change into this shirt, but I'm guessing it somehow ended up in Freya's inventory and she dumped it on him. Now, don't get me wrong, it's super difficult to prevent your villagers from changing into different clothes unless you just ignore them or something, but...

KYLE. WILL. NOT. SHUT. UP. ABOUT. HIS. SHIRT!

Every time I talk to him, he mentions his damn picnic tee! Like.. WHY?! Talk about something else! Make me catch you a fish or something stupid! Anything but the clothes! Imagine Kyle in THIS, and he NEVER shuts up about it.

I'm honestly fearing that his picnic tee disease will spread to my other villagers. e-e

When I delivered a gift from another villager to Lobo , it was a moldy shirt! He put it on immediately and said he loved it so much. I couldn't stop laughing :D

When I had went on a trip and forgot to bring my copy of ACNL. During that time, my sister made an very NSFW shirt and put it up on Able Sisters. When I came back from the trip and booted up the game, the first thing I see is Tutu, walking out of her house with that dang shirt. I talked to Isabelle and came out of my house. Apparently, more than half of the town were wearing the dang thing. Took a while to get everyone to wear something else, but 2 weeks later, everyone was back to wearing their original clothing. I took the shirt off display and changed it to something else. This is why I don't let my siblings play my copy of Animal Crossing.

Back then when I didn't knew that you can switch out the designs at the Able Sister's shop
from shirts to umbrellas to stop your villagers to wear those designs, my villagers loved to
wear said designs. Especially that "shirt" with the yellow bird on it and the orange one. I
hated it so much and was happy when they start wearing better looking shirts, as those
designs looked so weird and ugly on them, ugh...

Gosh seems like everyone has a story, lol! Right now in my town, 6 different villagers are wearing the heart shirt. Its quite funny and so cute because I saw when they would switch and then sing after they exchanged shirts.

I remember making a shirt design and Cyrano started wearing it. Sooner or later, it spread to Bob, Curlos, Lionel, Goldie, Rosie, Fauna, Kid Cat, and Flo. The only person not wearing it is Bianca. She's officially not part of town gang.

This is the best story by far. Haha, that made me laugh reading it. What a genius idea.
