Fruits question

Hello,
I want to play the game at a normal pace and therefore not cheat/get items too fast.
So far, I've got oranges (native), peaches (mystery islands) and cherries (letter).
Can I expect to get the other fruits from villagers/letters or do I have to ask a generous soul to share some with me?

You can get them from villagers, but if you want, I can give you apples and coconuts, if you’ll give me a few peaches and cherries. ^-^ I don’t mind, really, I’m trying to get all the fruits, and it happens that those are the only two I don’t have. XD
