me and my friend traded codes, and she went to go invite me to her town.. and omg cooper is telling me theres a problem! then he says keep trying or nevermind.. our connections are fine! the gates open! but i cant get through to her and in the message i get a code in "<>"

Hmm, are you sure that your router is compatible? You can check compatibility here. Also, I think you might know this, but you must complete Nook's jobs and save before you can visit other towns.

Make sure she also has your friend code. I'm sorry if I can't help too much, I'm not exactly the most tech-savvy guy. <__<
