Frame-rate loss when npcs come to town square?

Is it me or the game feels super laggy and slow everytime kk come / tourny's / isabelle and redd on sundays. feels very heavy on the game.
i don't remember those lags before the recent summer updates.
maybe i just have more placed items then before?

Its really annoying, it feels every patch is heavier then the one before.
instead of making the game smoother with every update.
