I found my second game cartridge! Even after it had been inevitably in the wash, it still works... What should I do with it? I'm already well into my new town on my new cartridge and I don't want to get rid of it.
Should I start a cycle town?

Please~?
If your first town has some villagers you want to switch up (like with a "Dreamy" here or there), that second game cartridge would be your source.
If you proceed with doing that, don't commit that second game cartridge with a town you intend to keep. Not now. Use it for going after the villagers you want.
Remember: When you start a new town, you will get five villagers belonging to separate Personality Categories: Cranky; Snooty; Lazy; Normal; Jock; Peppy. One of them isn't applicable on Day #01. The one not there on Day #01 is reserved along with a Smug and Uchi. (Smugs and Uchis are never among your first five villagers established on Day #01.)
Make note of which Villager Personality Category isn't present on Day #01. The missing one (let's say it's a Normal) would come in between Nos. 6 to 8 (that is, counting the order of the villagers listed on your menu screen).
So, let's say you get the following on Day #01:
1) Snooty: Broffina
2) Lazy: Cranston
3) Peppy: Apple
4) Cranky: Butch
5) Jock: Kid Cat
The following may come in:
Day #02: Plot for a Normal or a Smug or an Uchi. (There may be a Smug or Uchi you want who comes in Day #02.)
Use a new human character for plot-resetting approach to manipulate getting a Smug or an Uchi—or, perhaps, you'll get the Normal you want—for that Day #02. Keep at it until you're satisfied.
Day #03: If you found the villager you want, that villager moves in. (That villager is at No. 6 slot.)
Day #04: A repeat of Day #02.
Day #05: A repeat of Day #03. (That villager is at No. 7 slot.)
Day #06: A repeat of Day #02. (That villager will be at No. 8 slot.) Suppose you didn't care one bit about a Smug or an Uchi. So you let them move into slot Nos. 6 and 7. That you saved your No. 8 slot for the Normal you want (to eventually get moved into your main town). This allows you to really focus on just the Normals. They are all who will appear.
