My town isn't forest-themed but there's an area where I'd like to make something like a small forest. If you have something similar in your town or if you have a forest-themed town, do you have any advice or stories about pulling it off? I'd also love your DA if you do that in your town, to see how it works out so I can have a better notion of how to pull it off in my town. Thanks.

My main town has somewhat of a small forest area, it's around the top half of the river, from the waterfall all the way to the edge of Bunnie's house and the Cafe. My dream address is 4200-4401-7842 if you want to see it.

sometimes less is better... don't feel pressured to place a bunch of fruit trees and flowers below too, cause it can look busy... I had a small spot behind my police station and just put in some cedar saplings and it looks simple and nice!

Also stagger (like if you have a row of 5 spaces place a tree on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th spots and then on the row below that place a tree on the 2nd and 4th spot) the trees in rows for a more "real" look rather than fabricated straight rows of trees.... unless you are going for that look

I'm trying to get mt town to look a bit more natural and less urbanized myself. Good luck, i'm gonna browse some of these da's too.

I'm currently messing around with my town, but the plan is to have a pine forest at some point! As mentioned staggering trees work well, but keep in mind if someone new moves in they might plant (haha, nature puns) themselves right in the middle of your forest! To avoid that make a public works project, like a bench, or build a new home and create your forest around that/between that and a river/cliff.

Thank you to everyone who replied! :)

This is a simple but great tip, thanks!

I'll visit your DA, that sounds nice.

I'm in the process of landscaping my town, and I want it to be a forest one. I had a small area in the NE corner, where I plan to build the log bench (if it ever gets suggested), but I've planted the trees in preparation:

Like toadsworthy suggested, I staggered them, which makes it easier to get in and around the trees, and made it less likely that one would die.
