So I got merengue today and she was completely unoriginal, and I'm not interested, so any way I can force her out?

If you mind TT then the quickest and most efficient way is talking to all your villager except her, TT 2 days ahead, talk to the villagers but her, then TT back 2 days- talk etc and she should ping you- you may have to walk around, some villagers may give you insight to who wants to move etc. Ive found this to be very effective- you may have to do it couple times but the second time i always got a ping but then I wanted about 5 villagers out when I did it

The best way, in my experience, is to completely ignore them. I've made a few posts about this now, but I've tested this in my town numerous times, and ignoring them works much faster (with, or without time traveling) than only talking to them once, or becoming best friends with them.

So, don't introduce yourself to her if you haven't already, and don't talk to her at all, even when she pings you. Go talk to all the other villagers in your town; if Merengue is thinking about moving, one of the other villagers will tell you. Not talking to her when she pings you is important. If you ignore her when she tries to tell you she's moving, she'll move out, guaranteed. If you talk to her, you risk her changing her mind and staying.

Ignoring pings works on villagers you're best friends with, too. I recently got Rosie, who had been in my town for over a year, and who had changed her mind the last two times I talked to her when she pinged me, to move out. So give it a try, and I hope you have as much success as I have.

I'll have to try this method. Antonio has been refusing to move out since the day I started this town. It's been 6 months igt! >.<

It doesn't matter if you talk to them every day, or don't talk to them at all. It's random which villager will want to move out. All you can do is TT until she pings to move out.

Time travelling 2 days forward and back is very risky and not very effective I'm afraid :( if you have dream villagers in your town there is a very strong chance you can lose them.
4 days forward and back is by far the fastest and safest way. You will find you get several pings in a very short time.
Is she your most recent villager? As the newest won't move out until somebody else move out and in sadly.
I've found whether I ignore or befriend them it makes no difference, using the method above they still ping just as often. It's the only thing I could recommend really.

Also, if you did talk to her and she decided not to move, you could just quit without saving and load back up again until she agrees.
You also don't need to keep talking to villagers when you tt forward and back. You just need to talk to them all once before you start to tt. By going back in time you keep on talking terms with them so they are able to ping.
Best of luck to you

Yeah I've been trying to get Lucy to move too. >.> she completely ruined my design for my 3rd bridge. It's frustrating.

Question: weren't you the person yesterday or 2 days back that posted you HAD to have Merengue o.O what happened? Other than the unoriginality.
