you are set in a very specific spot... only for the villager to come very close, but not quite in it. how frustrating!

do you compromise? are you adamant in the perfect spot, no other else will do?

I really don't have the willpower or patience anymore to keep plot resetting days and days (I did, on my first town)... so, if I can get away with a slightly different spot...

this is the best I got from Deirdre yet. not perfect, but don't think she'll move closer to what I want anytime soon. I'm planning on letting her be. there are other 4 spots in town she can move in, and they are all terrible. whenever she gets somewhat close to her spot, it's way too close to the "path" and cafe, this was the best one so far.

what would you do? what do you usually do?

i am an artist so i have this perfectionist side of me that screams I NEED THAT SPOT AND ONLY THAT SPOT. I've been through what you have as well, days and days of plot resets. if all possible I would think to myself that i will not give up, but at times i would wander around thinking whether there are different ways to compromise, thinking i could plot my path differently to compromise. but in the end, the way i structured my layout, the answer was no. xD so i sticked to it and thankfully i got the exact spots i want.

It didn't go 100% as planned for this one plot though which messed up my structure a bit, I accidently loaded into my mayor and my heart was already crying on the inside, BUT, thankfully the villager ended up plotting just 2 x coordinates away from what I wanted... so i basically just had to shift the 2 other houses inline and thank goodness there was enough room, just that my houses wouldn't vertically align but whatever haha.

If you have the flower clock pwp, my tip to you would be to plot them to all areas you do not want your villagers to be in. if you plot them spread apart enough but not enough for houses to land there, it's possible to zone all areas that you want without reaching the 30 pwp limit. this made my life a WHOLE LOT easier. ; u;

i think you already settled with that spot which is probably okay depending on what your map is like but gooood luckkk on your future plot resets!

I usually just have a general idea where villager houses can be, as long as it's not on a path, right in front of/too close to another house, or in a spot where they destroy something I like.

Phoebe did pick a perfect spot yesterday though. (Couldn't reset anyway because she was the first random random and I didn't want to reset for days to get another dreamie.^^)

I had to compromise with Rosie. She refused to go where I wanted her, so I ended up allowing her to plot one space away from where I wanted her at. Here house placement bothers me slightly, but I would rather her be where she's at then right in the middle of my paths. Plus I didn't have much time to plot reset with her. My friend wanted to wifi so I had to hurry up.
