for anyone who films yt videos

ive wanted to become a youtuber of sorts for a few months, and i think id like to make acnh videos, but im not sure how to screen record for more than 30 seconds (with the capture button feature)

does anyone know how to properly screen record more footage?

this is just me completely guessing, as i've never done this myself, but would plugging usb end of the dock into your pc, docking the switch, and then playing + screen recording through your monitor work? i'm assuming that's how people on twitch stream animal crossing so i don't think it would be too different from that. sorry i can't be more helpful!

Unfortunately not, since the switch has to be docked in order for the capture card to work

ah...im sure i can find something..n if not, theres always the option of recording tons n tons of clips-

You'll need an external or internal capture card (Elgato is a brand many recommend) that allows you to send the HDMI input directly to your computer, which will allow you to use a recording software or software that can record video feed (such as OBS) to allow you to get the footage to upload.

This sadly will not work with the Nintendo Switch Lite as it lacks HDMI output.

I stream AC quiet often, Elgato capture cards are the way to go. They are pricier- about $179.99- but they work great. I have yet to have problems with my HD60s but as mentioned before you need a Switch. The Switch lite won't work since it can't dock, the capture card hooks to the dock and works from there.
