Our new Twitter account @ACNL_Villagers automatically tweets every new thread posted in this board. You can use this to receive notifications of new threads for when your favourite villager comes up in here for grabs.

I followed it at first but my main twitter page got flooded. So I unfollowed and will now instead keep a tab on the twitter page which gives me real-time notification about new threads. Just mentioning this in case you guys use the no. of followers as an indicator of usefulness!

This is a pretty great idea. I use the Chrome extension Notifier for Twitter to get a pop-up every time there's a new tweet, so we shall see how well they work together.

Gave it a try but not liking it. Plus, by the time an alert pops up and it's a popular Dreamie they've probably been sold unless it's a long auction. Ah heck, I'm just not a Twitter fan.
