Flower Breeding Help!

I’m trying desperately to breed pink roses and green mums, but it’s deeming pretty impossible. I’m using seed based flowers as the original parents, so I’m not sure why they aren’t turning up! I know green mums are very rare, so I understand that one a bit, but I haven’t had a single pink rose turn up. I’m using the diagonal breeding pattern for my flowers!

What are your guys’ layouts for breeding flowers? Does one give you more results than others?

I've had the most success with the diamond pattern as described here. Diagonal works fine too, but a full diamond gives an extra pair/chance.

Other than that, it's probably a matter of patience. Keep watering them, there's a bonus chance for flowers that have been watered a few successive days without successfully reproducing. From the same page as linked before:

After having been eligible to breed at least 4 times without success, a flower will gain an additional 5% chance to breed each day until it successfully reproduces. This bonus scales each day a flower fails to reproduce, up to a maximum of 90% after 20 days.

Last, you can try to find people to come over and help you water the flowers you're trying to breed. Having up to 5 people come by to water them can really make a difference in the chances a flower has to breed!

I have everything except gold roses (don't like them), and didn't get others to water my flowers either.

Good luck! Breeding flowers yourself is very fun and very, very time consuming... I didn't have the patience for it and I admire people that do!

Pink roses should be pretty easy, I got a lot of them from white+red roses (seeds) or during the time of breeding blue roses (white+white-> purple + red seeds-> pink). Green mom is rare, but once you get one, you just need to clone them.

I have 10 pink roses that I can give you and some green moms too if you want. Then you can just alternate planting them for cloning.
