A little bit about Floaroma and my animal crossing past:
I decided on the name floaroma, mainly because the Pokémon town, covered in flowers just speaks to me!! Mainly also, because 10y/o me named my first village AllyVile. "Ville" didn't fit, and I wasn't aware that vile was a word nor its meaning lmao. I was stuck and haunted by this unimaginative, just awful name didn't stop me having a blast through all of the years playing before NH, though.

Savannah! Fell in love with her in CF. She's just my fave! Found her early on, was gifted for free by someone on the forum when I first joined. Was a lovely introduction to tbt
Purrl! Yet to have found this sassy little kitty. She was the first villager I became besties with when she gave me her picture back in wild world, therefore I have to get her back in NH!!
Agent S! A questionable dreamie I'm aware! But agent s is another huge nostalgia kick for me from back in wild world
Wolfgang! Edgy 10y/o me tottaallly saw this dude as my in game boyfriend. So I gotta have him! Another reason being he so fuzzy in game

~Day 2 of journaling my daily shenanigans~
The search for Purrl has started! Merengue moved out yesterday and found a home where she's her owners dreamie
CURRENT PROGRESS:
200 tickets down. 324 left to hunt for one of my babies. I'm BORED but the hunt is gonna be worth it
I pretended to be a tourist and took some pics of some people I encountered just for fun!

~Journal day three!~

So I forced myself into rewinding time, spoiling my turnips and carrying on my search.. the random move ins are way too unforgiving to chance it

So I started back up my search, with a headache from the heat but ultimately determined to find purrl, or agent s/wolfgang if they decided to show up! spoiler alert. they didn't

Some villagers I encountered today:

My birthday twin!! I do actually really like Diana, but she just really doesn't fit the list like I'd want her too, she's too cute?? I don't know? Nethertheless, she showed up a grand total of 4 times during my entire hunt!

Zucker 8 times this s(z)ucker showed up!! the sweetest little lazy boy! He was one of my first island bring backs early on, and I had to get him so marina had a boyfriend?! But then I let him go, the day after he was around marinas house being all cute, cos they actually we're round each others house more than any villagers I've ever seen.
I really did consider taking him back, but I felt weirder bringing back a version of marina's boyfriend that didn't know her? that's just a new level of cruel.. the guilt will forever haunt me

okay! the only anteater I have ever really liked is Anabelle for nostalgia reasons. But this guy is SOO cute and fuzzy I really, really debated taking him back, but 250+ tickets in by this point I had to come home with one I wanted. Too much of an investment..

SO. NOW we get to the end of the story of my hunt for Purrl.
I took home my boyfriend's dreamie.

look at those open fuzzy arms, I couldn't leave him behind my boyfriend is over the moooon! I'm so happy I could get him his favourite villager ever.
350+ tickets later, it was totally worth it, even as bummed out as I was not getting who I wanted.
there is always another chance to get who i want, and there's always more flowers to sell to go towards that


also I'm absolutely loving this journal, it's really just for me to blabber but awhh ​

~Journal day four!~

So, as I've done absolutely nothing but flower organisation today, as I started my journal late into playing the game I thought I'd share a little gallery of screenshots from when I first started. Plus the thread of this with screenshots is shaping up to be a cute little memory thread for me later down in the line and I'm living for it!!

SO I very cheekily got ACNH 2 days early from release, and my GOD I had been waiting for years for this game. I never really got along or had much interest in NL, as much as I did play it. I couldn't afford a DS or the game until I got one in about let's say.. 2017? Thanks to my boyfriend who bought me a pokeball 3ds as a early Christmas present (so that we could play USUM asap hehe) and bought me NL for actual Christmas day. So I had a very late start, and alot less hype.
Aaanyway!!

So, I chose a button nose. What a mistake, you'll see my character style evolve over the course of these photos lool.
I regretfully didn't take too many screenshots of my first few days of island life. Maybe because I felt sneaky playing early and didn't want evidence? Eek, either way I'm stupid

My starter villagers were Tad&Agnes, who at first I wasn't entirely keen on, but I didn't hate then at all. They're some of the cutest out of who else I could have got.
I reset my island I think, maybe 10 times to get pears? Green is my favourite colour, and I really wanted to start with a fruit that I liked as my native. I also got mums as my native flower! (at the time I had no idea these existed, or that native flowers were a thing?) I was happy with mums because I think they're my favourite out of all of them, also they go green?! YESSSS

After getting established, we visited eachother, didn't really do much but these are cute to look back on!^.^

I got sherb as one of my 3 move ins, I didn't particularly like nor dislike him at first but now he can't ever ever leave because EEK what a cutie he's just the sweetest. Aswell as Agnes and Cheri, I'm gutted I missed out on his original house interior. But nethertheless glad to have him around

~Super quick update from today also!!~
After days of giving villagers what I think to be presents that they loved (jeez they can be fussy) Cheri gave me her picture!!

I gave her a collarless coat in her favourite colour, which is yellow (she looks killer in it too )

~Here we are at day 5 of journalling my island life!~

So continuing from yesterday, I'm gonna just share more of my journey up until it's all current!

Just had to capture this little guys face, apparently.
I was so set on getting rid of Tad after acquiring his picture, but I don't think I can bring myself to see him go anymore. He's too adorable

Got this so early on, proceeded to make my boyfriend really jealous with my luck with rain and catching 6 coelanths in one evening <

Making BUCK. I really enjoyed fishing for the first week, placing everything outside and selling it in the morning. (I miss having the space and drive to do this loool)

House upgrade shenanigans, I was going for a cutsey pastel vibe built around these super cute pants I found in a balloon

A new villager arrived from the campsite, Kyle! I tried getting rid of him as soon as I possible could, I really just didn't vibe with his character. Didn't realise he was so high(ish) tier either? Either way, 2/10? Eh.

THIS has got to be my favourite screenshot ever after throwing stuff all over my island, putting up fences wherever I could, we reached three stars and KK, much to Isabelle's surprise, is coming to celebrate!! Look the balloon hat just makes this even better.

So in the process of getting a three star town, we had to invite some more cities to stay! I found zucker first on a mystery island, how could I not take him home
After zucker, Maddie had to come temporarily stay to then move to my boyfriend's, sisters town, Maddie. Of course. Merengue was a random move in, and as much as I wasn't mad about it, I knew I wasn't gonna plan on keeping her at all. Recently gave her away to someone who's gonna love her the way she deserves
Seriously adore the crowd picture.

And there we have it!! KK played, and it was such a sweet moment, with the lil crowd, it being welcome horizons, CUTTEEE.

~Journal day five!~

Picking up roughly where we left off, which is real near to present day! Seeing as after KK, the grind begins.

Got this boy and the one below on my first two ever uses of fish bait! I have since been incredibly unlucky when using it

He's a big beautiful shiny, did I mention huge? Boy!

So after getting my first green mum, which was a moment I unfortunately didn't capture, I got a but obsessed with them and decided I wanted them EVERYWHERE. Trouble was, and now still is, I have no space to terraform or edit my island as its.. covered.. in flowers.. help?

Also, same thing happened when the blue rose popped up. It's bad (but I'm glad they do) that they clone so easy, it's too addicting to keep seeing them grow!! Plus the 5 star sparkle, that's just another ball park of PRETTY.

After being infested with flowers and not having the willpower to even think about clearing out the unwanted ones, I called in my boyfriend to help!! This picture is so cute I can't we must have cleared hundreds of them.. and I must have filled in double the amount of holes than I dug as James loved to leave them everywhere-.-

So, after acquiring many, many flowers and many more, I decided to set up a little shop, where I could sell the excess to give myself more space to work with.
Yeah, so I'm still breeding and selling flowers, so my idea of making space, turned into a mini animal crossing buisness which I'm so enjoying and having a great time. Sometimes it's hard to keep track of orders and it can get stressful, but it brings me joy to have saved up nmts from sales to hunt for my dreamies, rather than buy them for other currencies.

Next was obtaining bells! I found a price for turnips on the forum, bought turnips over at my partner's sisters island and in matching outfits, of course, off we went to make BANK.

Probably, along with tarantula farming, the most satisfying thing ever!

Alongside making money and flowers and running a mini shop on here, I had Celeste spawn in my resident services area and decided to trap her in for a few friends to come visit her more easily. Then, with me being so bored and having nothing else to do, fenced off my island leading to the plaza, decorated it with my moon chair and a stereo playing bubblegum and opened a free Celeste event! I had a free DIY pool, and also listed my wishlist for people to check out if they wanted to help me out with cataloguing things.
Not only was the event SO much fun, I pretty much had my catalog complete by the time I closed my island off. People on here are so generous, and being a part of this community has made the game so much more fun! Y'all amazing

~Journal day six!!~
So we are relativley up to date now so I'll be sharing mostly what I got up to today on my island! I decided that I wanted my entire left side of my island raised up with an incline coming up into it from the airport. Stay tuned for that!!
But first, a memory I forgot to share, and a really cool looking photo I can't miss out on here.

As you can see, everyone was thrilled at the nook upgrade. This was my number one priority for my island to obtain as early as I could!

Started my day chilling out with sherb, (you'll notice with my outfit change that I cleared out my flowers first, but hey. This is the order we are going with!) I was waiting for him to leave the bench to give him a gift, but he really went and sat there for literally for ever. So I got started with what I had planned. This went on over a few days, and although doesn't look like much my GOD it was alot of work!

So I stared with clearing out my sacred flower farms. RIP moved them over to an open area by the museum that I had, soon there will be no space for them but they're surely content there for now?

imagining what life would be like, when I wasn't stressing over terraforming in animal crossing. Even though it's so easily reversed, it so feels like you could screw it up so bad

After expanding out, I ended up with this as my entrance and i am OVER the moon with it!! I time travelled a day to get the bridge done as I was behind when I extended my time to island hop so seemed right to turn it back for my incline!

After having some friends over from on here, one gave me the great idea to cover everything in weeds, which I absolutely adore. I love how busy it looks, I also made a pit stop to distribute gifts, and had to have matching outfits with my one and only

Next was the little area immediately left to my airport where I decided to leave a little walkway out of. Seemed perfect for a crafting area! Worked out pretty cute, I think?

A few more updates to the entrance in terms of flower and weed placement, and sherb seems to love it, and the dress that I gave him too. He lives cute clothes and I can't help but give him dresses now. Look at him

After a couple real life days, and a few in game days of grinding this new entrance out, I'm here feeling great with my best girl Savannah. Look at us we match
Gonna keep updating my progress with the left half of the front of my island and I'm so excited! Loads of ideas in mind ​

~Island journal day 7~

Not much to report on today and log in here, so I'll just yap on about what did happen today and share some photos as usual

Today was just a typical animal crossing doss kinda day, selling flowers and clearing out my storage (I reached complete max and am completely full up now, eek) and selling diys too.
Got to get them tbts to fuel my collectable addiction that I've picked up damn those cute little squares..

So Bob moved in, and queue me talking him to hell and hopefully making him want to leave to go to James' town. Hopefully.

And then realising that Marina has a new boyfriend because they've already visited eachother. Why she gotta love lazies for

Also, with my effort to get Marinas picture by giving her the cuteeest pink outfits daily, she gave me this. Thanks b.

Only other thing I have to share is just more pictures for memory purposes. But Cheri had different ideas when I tried to execute that idea.

Bored waiting for trades calls for unnecessary pictures too.

Last but not least! Although the timeline is all wrong, one of the days this cool dude came to visit!

~Day seven of my daily island journal!!~

So again today, not much has happened other than me trying to get some creative drive to finish my entrance, taking cute pictures with my villagers and trying to get their photos aswell.

So after taking a break of having bubblegum literally playing everywhere, and having enough music playing things out so you could ALWAYS hear it, I switched them all over to Animal City or Stale Cupcakes, which are the cutest other than bubblegum to hear them sing
I personally believe Cheri loves Animal City, mainly because she is aaaalways singing it!!!

After being convinced Savannah hated me for so long she is the second to give me her picture!! I obtained it by talking to her with a thinking bubble. (I was fully expecting her to ask to leave cos I thought she hated me)
I had earlier picked up a journal, and Sherb informed me it belonged to my baby Savannah. I looked for her EVERYWHERE and in the end had to go off and make a trade. She was thought bubbling when I got back in the plaza, and when I spoke to her she told me she lost her journal and wanted me to find it, and in return.. her snazzy lil picture became mine

After becoming the happiest person alive, I went to a Celeste event on the turnip exchange, hosted by moustache dude shown above lol.
I was here for a whole darn hour, and still didn't leave with 20 wishes. People left and arrived every time a bulk of stars would come. Seeing them all go past whilst the ding dongs went off, every single time, urgh ahah!!

Acquired myself a moon, don't know what to do with it yet. Stumped!!

I think here works for now, but I'm still trying to decide. This entrance seemed to be going well, but after getting some bad irl news I just have such a block and can't find the motivation to decorate. So moon boy will do for now!!

I just keep throwing junk out on display. And it's not really junk, it just obviously doesn't belong or work up here. But at least space is filled.. for now.

More Cheri. This little sweet heart has grown on me so much. She was one of my 3 move ins and I thought I had Cherry coming, but got mixed up. I'm not keen on Cherry so when I opened up her door and saw her I was very pleasantly surprised. She was instantly one of my dreamies from that point

~Island joural day eight!!~

So I was super tired yesterday and forgot to post, so I'll do an early one now all about yesterday and one about today later on!!

After getting two photos so far, I am now determined to get everyone's!! Bar the two villagers I don't want, being Pudge, and Bob as he's going to my boyfriend's island as soon as he's ready to leave Floaroma!
Ive been matching their gifts up every day perfectly to their favourite colours and styles, I only really tend to give them clothing as I love seeing them in new stuff, plus I accidentally gave Savannah a soft serve hat in black, and I can't deal with how much she wears it so she be getting loads of hats even if she already gave me her picture ;~;

Where even and why even does this bench even come from??

So I'm having an identity crisis at the moment, I don't know what to wear or what colour to work. So I decided to match Marina, so in case she gave me her photo I would be looking the pink part!!
but no, half the bells I paid for the gift as a thanks.. gee.

So I think Tad liked his present, a yellow football shirt is perfect for a Jock who's favourite colour is yellow!!

But as good as this cute little frog (with MASSIVE guns apparently) it wasn't good enough for a photo, yet.

Peaches got a super cute!! Light blue sailor hat, which looks so cute on her head^~^
Still yet for any recognition of how long it takes me to pick these gifts! Cmooonnn!!
I did also gift Agnes, but there was nothing to screenshot as she point blank didn't even like it. I guess?

After a long day of gifting (Sherb received a light blue nurse outfit hehe after this) my boy Sherb be thinking, and his think bubble so adorable.
I was really hoping he'd want to move so I could close out, and ignore him for the rest of the day and wait for someone else to get the bubble tomorrow. But turns out..

I am now Prof. Pie, nice.

After literally doing nothing other than villager gifting and flower management, I went to help a friend redesign her island for events she holds. & She had a pretty rainbow! Shame it doesn't show up in screen caps more.. but pretty nonetheless.

So that concludes yesterday's shenanigans. Not much happened!

~Island journal day nine!~

So again today, not been up to much ;~;
I really need to get my butt in gear and design my island entrance more so I can continue and do the rest, but I have no ideas, urgh!

Because my brain is lacking creativeness yet again, I'm just gonna document the gift giving and trades I did last night and throughout today, as it's nice to look back on all these screenshots here rather than grouped up in random order on my switch library!
Plus I don't plan on keeping Marina. So I gotta treasure her now and remember her forever

Starting with my massive trade last night!! Two trips of materials traded over for collectables (dear god I have a problem ಠಿ_ಠ )

Started off my day bumping my shops, and having no clue what to do, so I headed to Ables to get some cutie little outfits for my villagers and see if anyone wanted to give me their picture today ^~^ spoiler: no one else has yet -.-
Also I've gone through my identity colour crisis and have settled with this outfit for now. I love it!

Okay so I gifted Marina bunny ears she BETTER wear these all the damn time or I'll just have to give her a pair every day ever. So cute I can't!!

I also gave Sherb bunny ears. Too cute, also I am still Prof. Pie ahahahah

So with Agnes being one of my first villagers, I wasn't keen on her and was planning on moving her out eventually. But I still gave her gifts, and to my regret I gave her this -.-
I bought one or two pieces of clothing a day, cycled the gifts that I received back from each villager and gave them to the next one. BAD idea she absolutely loves this though, and she always wears it!

Tad looking FLY with his new zap suit, Tad was one of my two first villagers also and I didn't plan on keeping him, but he's too great of a personality not to keep, as bland as the game dialogue is!

With such a high bell gift back, let's hope Tad will be the third to give me his picture!! Fingers crossed

Lastly, Peaches didn't even give me anything in return. We got some work to do here, I don't know if I want to keep her yet so the sooner I get her picture the better! She's already asked to move twice and I've said no, but maybe next time, idk

~Island journal day 10, 11, and 12~

So after having the last few days from hell and losing a beloved pet, I haven't been posting but I've still been playing, so I'll do a little recap!

So Pudge decided to move a couple of days ago so my island hopping has started yet again on the hunt for Purrl!
As much as I wanted him gone I'll deffo miss his sad little face.

STOP STALKING ME

Another who showed up only once this time (as tbf it was only a short hunt anyway!) Was Zucker. I really regret letting him go, but I also don't because I don't see how he fits into my island (and I also have too many dreamies.. eek)

All of the shaking trees to get furniture and sprinting to Wilbur to avoid the wasps was worth it, my storage is now full up again and I have my dreamy Wolfgang coming to live on Floaroma!!
