Flea-Market Glitch?

sooo today i decided to load up one of my side character's lockers with turnips and i needed to transfer money from my mayor to my side character. instead of dropping the bells on the ground and having my side character pick them up, i used the flea market and put things up for 999k for my mayor to purchase so it goes more quickly.

however, when i went onto my side character after i transferred all the money, it didn't appear in her bank??

is this a glitch or does the money go in the next day? :-0

i really hope i didnt just lose 8 million bells.
