Right-o.
So it's an anime, and it has three names. FLCL, Furi Kuri, and Fooly Cooly.
As I recall, it's the greatest thing since cable TV, and was aired around the time that adult swim first got started on cartoon network.
Who's seen it, who hates it? Because with this annie-maye, I don't think there's much of a middle-ground to stand on. Bonus points for those who read/enjoyed he manga/comic.
<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Summary</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">Naota is a whiny teenager, living in a boring town. Haruko whacks Naota with her bass guitar, which causes robots to emerge, which Haruko promptly fights.</div>
It's one of those gundam-esque shows (giant robot fights), but it's wicked funny and insanely fast-paced. And it's only 6 episodes long (roughly 2 hours length) so why not give it a shot?
