Thanks again for the list! I found the catfish really interesting. I think I've heard of a amur catfish from somewhere... Also, just figuring out that we were catching a great white shark kinda freaks me out. Never realized it was that kind of shark... O.O

owo Those sharks...I was going to say blue shark but I noticed the face didn't match with the ACNL ones. :/

Pop-eyed goldfish are telescope goldfish.
We had lots of goldfish and koi growing up and it's by far my favorite of all the goldfish species lol. They're so cute with their big ole eyeballs

Cool compilation :D Didn't know catfish was based off the Amur one, cause they look kinda different but cool to know :0

Ah, thanks for telling me MapleCake. They are so cute!
Yeah, but I couldn't find a catfish that looked exactly like the ACNL ones so...Amur it is.
Well, time to work on past games now.

Yeah I'm not sure 100% so I go with you, it somehow looks like they minimized Wels ones but yep nice work :D

Yep, interesting...those are HUGE! What are fish eating!? So, the catfish I caught (I barely catch any) was 26 inches. Amur can grow up to 24 inches. :]

It's on the wiki page and if you look up the scientific name they based it off of, it leads you to the amur catfish wiki.
But it's Japanese name Namazu is named after a giant catfish that's believed to cause earthquakes. Amur catfish is a common Japanese catfish and they are known to get giant so it's accurate.

Catfish sometimes grow to be giant monsters as long as the environment they are in supports them to grow that big. They have to have an abundance of food, little to no predators and good water temperature and conditions. A lot of catfish species live for decades. It's very possible.

Btw I just like fish lol.

Ooh, thanks for all this info! I'll research more about them. :]

I mean if it interests you. I'm just the type of person that may have watched Blue Planet and River Monsters way too many times.
Again, I just *reaaaaally* like fish lol. I wanted to be a marine biologist growing up but honestly I don't swim well and have a fear of the ocean, so badly that I can't really go to into any large body of water without having anxiety.
I still like to just admire through tv and aquariums. But anyway, this is a really interesting thread and I like all the research you put into it.
Maybe you should take Blather's job, ha.

Yeah, I usually love biology, so I study a lot about fish and stuff. However, I hate certain bugs, going in the deep sea...so... Yep, my other thread...you'll see which bugs I want to kill.

It's okay. They all give me the heebie jeebies too. Dx
As long as I see just one, I'm itching all day long.

Thank you for yet again another interesting list! I just looked up the sea butterfly (or also called
"Thecosomata", which is it's scientific name) and it's actually an interesting little creature.
