I like Vic myself, since he's a viking I considered him a good candidate for my medieval fantasy town but I already have Knox and Roscoe as my cranky villagers and the gender imbalance is bad enough in my town with only two permanent female villagers so I decided against it.

I can see why people would think he is a lazy, or maybe even a jock. He's not your average cranky.

Honestly he seems more youthful than many of the crankies. Maybe he's a middle aged villager who is just starting to turn cranky.
