I'm just curious to see if there's anyone besides me that like some of the villagers' names, but don't actually like the villager themself. Also, I'm curious if anyone had any ideas for a name they'd like to see a villager in a future Animal Crossing game to have.

I'll start off with one name I recently found that I like: Pietro ~ that's the name of one of my favorite Marvel characters; Pietro Maximoff; and there was a Renaissance artist named: Pietro Perugino (but, I don't know anything about him). I didn't realize that the Marvel character (also known as Quicksilver) shared the same name as the Animal Crossing character, Pietro until fairly recently.

I really love learning about other languages/cultures; so, it really interests me to see if there are some villagers with names that have a meaning that relates to the type of animal they are or their personality. Anyways, I'll post again if this thread continues, with more of my thoughts on names I like or would like to see a villager have.

Bones, Biskit, Shep, and Lucky are among the favorite names in my town. I would like to see a dog that looks like a beagle in the next game.

I really like how Nintendo has named most of their villagers actually ; o ; ! They put quite a bit of creative effort in some of the characters and I think they're great.

- Ankha for one, I quite like, obviously after the Ankh. Not quite sure why they named Lucky... well, Lucky, but Ankha is cool. She's not exactly a dreamie, but if I were to have another town, I'd probably get this cute duo :'D
- Kiki: not fond of her, but that name reference ; o ;! Miyazaki man...
- Poppy: really cute name and flower; it matches her eyes too!

Most of the names are obviously a reference to the villager's design (Fuchsia, Tia, Savannah, Apple, etc.)
Those are just a few that really stand out to me o/

Lucky is covered in bandages, making it look like whatever he did to hurt himself so badly wasn't very "lucky". At least that's how I see it.

I personally like Alli's name, because it's also my name! And I like that they spelled it that way and not "Allie" because that's how people have been spelling my name all my life which never made sense to me because Alli is short for Allison, in my case.

I really want to see a dog that's more of a maltese-y look. Like generic small, fluffy, white dog. We only really have big dog types.

On the subject of dog villagers, I want a corgi villager. :>

As far as names go, I'd love to see a Lorelei. My favourite name ever. If they keep up with making mythical villagers (I really want them to! I love the mythical animals' designs) they could have a lot of name potential for those, too. What would a selkie be named, I wonder? Obviously when a hippogriff or griffin happens it's gonna be Griffon.

I love that Marcel is a mime (and appears to be an homage to Marcel Marceau).

As for Mr. Pietro, there was a clown named Pietro Bologna who was pretty famous in his time (several hundred years ago, iirc).

In terms of new names, it'd be great to see a Mab (Queen of the Fairies!) - might be yet another good name for a deer.

And it's too bad there's already a Coco, because a gorilla named Koko would be amazing. Koko the real-life gorilla is most famous for knowing sign language and having pet kittens, which she names herself.

I had no idea Koko the gorilla even existed. Gorillas are a LOT smarter than I thought 0_o

I actually like Coco; both her name and herself as a villager too. She kind of looks creepy but that's why I like her =P

I like a lot, but i'm going with Chadder because the pun.

And if I would like to see a villager with the name Marcus, it will have to be a Kangaroo or Koala, they are both Marsupials. (Get the pun?)

Just like a baby Kangaroo is called a Joey, yet there is a Duck named Joey....

I love Nana's name i think it's super super cute. So is Nan's. I also love Chevre's name which obviously is her name because it means goat cheese. But it also reminds me of the word chevere which is a slang term used in Puerto Rico and Cuba (and a few other countries too) that is used to refer to something really cool.
I want there to be more dogs that look like different real breeds of dogs. idk about names but that would be cute!
I think that cute names for villagers are like Jam and Berry. Those would be cute cute villager names!

I like the name of Marcel and I love the idea of him being a french mime with his catchphrase and his face, but ughh.

I love the name Estelle and I think that would be a cute name for a peppy villager. Also, I think we need more twin villagers like Francine and Chrissy.
And as much as I'd like new species, I'd also like a specific kind of an animal. Like how there's Goldie who is a Golden Retriever and Portia who is a dalmation. It'd be cute if there were Crows, and Poisonous Frogs
