What are your favorite sets to mix? I have a gorgeous and sweets set mixed. It kind of gives of an elegant yet whimsical vibe, and I like it.

I mixed the alpine set with the minimalist set. Looks pretty good, I must say.
I plan to mix the mush set with the bug set, and the ice set with the mermaid set in the future! I hope they look as good as I think they will.

At the moment I've mixed my gorgeous set with some good customised cabana pieces. Which looks really nice. I've got the gold cabana bed/table/screen and then a gorgeous stool/sofa and a few other bits.
I really like the princess and mermaidset together as well, the colours match up nicely I find

The polka dot set, remade blue with cola brown spots and the blue mushroom lamps from the mushroom series. I have this in two different towns and it is still my favorite room of all time!

i mix everything... lol
at the moment the main room in my house (i only have two rooms right now...) is a mixture of the Fishing Tourney furniture, minimalist furniture, and sloppy furniture
it got me 10k+ HHA points so [shrugs]

For some odd reason I like mixing sleek and minimalist. It gives two different sides of modern way to compare and contrast.

Ooh mixing furniture sets seems like a cool idea!

I don't mix sets, but rather I just typically mix DLC items with it. Like I put the aurora screen and rainbow thing in my ice set

Egg set with Pastel Kiddie set and Yellow/Blue Regal set with Gothic Yellow Rococo set.

Egg/Sweets is super cute!
What I'm doing now is the green/modern wood costumized to simple and dark green.
Cabin/minimalist is nice as well.

Minimalist set with some sloppy set pieces here and there. I think it gives a modern yet lived in kind of look! I also love cabana and green series mixed is totally adorable. Lastly I think the sleek and gorgeous would give a modern yet glam look. Planning to try all of these out at some point! ;^)

my next elaborate room plan includes mixing the harvest furniture with some of the toy shop style things (bears, dolly, etc) and a couple kitchen things to make a cute stuffed animal kitchen

if u can't tell, my rooms are very crowded and slightly chaotic lolololol

Minimalist - ash brown
House plants
+ some misc retro looking stuff

Set mixing ftw! Here's what I'm using in my houses as of now:

HNI_0034.JPG
Princess + ice
Green customized to dark green + classic customized to violet brown
Pav? + cabana customized to colorful
Weeding day + bug-off (+ colorful cabana)
Bug-off + mush + gorgeous
Dark green + cabin customized to birch

Some cool mixes I've seen others use:
Sloppy + egg
Sloppy + kiddie customized to pastel
Cabin + patchwork customized to orange
Pav? + classic
Green + cabana
etc, really too many to mention!

Minimalist mixed with the cabana or mermaid set if you're going for a beach or ocean theme
