You know, there's good music outside of metal, too... it's never a good idea to restrict oneself to a single genre. I'd go crazy if I only listened to one genre of music, but that's just me...

Yup. Though I occasionally opt to go on "marathon sessions" (listening to exclusively one genre/album/artist for a given amount of time), my listening is usually in phases... flamenco one day, bossa-nova another, classical, weird music that defies any and all categorization, etc.

Try modern flamenco -- Gerardo Nunez, Paco de Lucia's last two or three albums, Vicente Amigo, Chicuelo, etc. -- and bossa-nova, notably Stone Flower by Antonio Carlos Jobim.
