Hey everyone! Today I found a famous mushroom! Just wondering, is this rare? Is it worth anything? I might sell or trade it if it is.

I second this! I found one of these in an awesome dream town I visited, and I ate it. The result made me laugh!

Just need a perfect town and tree stumps made by a silver axe, and the rare mushrooms can once in awhile appear buried next to the stumps.

I've found a couple of mushrooms near stumps and I don't TT. I'm going to visit that address, though, and find that mushroom! I want to see!

I don't time travel and I had one next to a pattern stump the other day. I used a regular axe on the tree, not a silver one...I won't dig up my pattern stumps...I have 4 of them

Yeah you just need a special stump (special designs on them) and sometimes a mushroom will grow near them. Perfect town is not necessary (though perhaps increases frequency?).
