This is something I’m seeing a lot in fall threads: people say that they’re only seeing a couple (if any) pinecones/acorns after shaking all their trees. Here’s a PSA: like tree branches, you can obtain an unlimited amount of pine cones and acorns from just one cedar and hardwood, respectively! You just want to put them down where you can have easy access to all 8 spaces where an item can drop.

Thanks for this :) Too bad all my trees have flowers in them lol
Are pinecones and acorns available now?
Yup! This is something I’ve been waiting for for months (I did island hop to SH islands when it was available) so I felt like I had to make this info visible after seeing the confusion

Another fall material PSA (since I've seen some people have been confused):

Right now, acorns and pinecones are available in the Northern Hemisphere!
But mushrooms ARE NOT. Unless you TT, mushrooming season is NOVEMBER. Similarly, maple leaf season is late November (apparently a few days into early December).

Thank you so much for adding that! Just an addendum: maple leaf season is nov 16-26 (May 16-26 in SH)

I’m not looking forward to seeing how the harvest festival sabotages both of those (if it’s anything like bunny day it’s going to be annoying at best). I’m glad I’ve got a second chance at the cherry blossom season.

One of the main reasons I'm TTing ahead to enjoy it 😛 That being said, I LOVED Bunny Day, and am SO looking forward to Halloween and Harvest Festival and Toy Day and all the upcoming holidays  BUT I don't want to be distracted by gathering other recipes when I'm enjoying them!
...TBH, I didn't get all the Bunny Day hate. The eggs meant I got a little less materials... but really, not that much less. I don't think it was nearly as inconvenient as some people implied.

I’m just not into the giant egg aesthetic and the fact that it drilled into gaining resources when everyone was trying to get started put a foul taste in people’s mouths. I think the other holidays will be more accepted as they I know peeps LOVE the spooky theme and the harvest theme goes well with what people are making now. We’ll just have to see how they play it out.

This is great help! I need to remove the flowers around the trees!
