So during the loading screen while you wait for 8 players to join your regular battle or ranked battle (or probably the other ones too, its just I have no friends for the other modes lol) and it displays the current stages it could possibly be, theres definitely room for a third option to be displayed! Like it seems so out-of-place-ly blank. maybe you will have the option of three stages in the future? anybody else catch on to this?

There's a third stage during Splatfests, which are special events that happen every so often. They last 24 hours and three stages are selected for you to play for the whole time; they don't rotate. They are also set at night as opposed to during the day.
Masters of trickery. It's like how certain DLC gear was already in the game's files from the beginning and the whole playable Octoling shebang. Now that the last update is presumably this month, I seriously hope that they'd add more maps in rotation and all maps for Splatfest, but that's probably not gonna happen because Nintendo. After all, their reason for not continuing the DLC is because it would be too much for players to remember. Bull.
Yeah, I'm hoping they'll add a third map to the rotation for all the time, not just Splatfests. The two-at-a-time thing was more understandable when there was just a handful of maps available, but there are enough maps now that the repeats wouldn't be excessively frequent.
True, but I feel like there should be more maps for Splatfest because you go 24 hours with the same maps.
If regular mode gets 3 maps Splatfest should get at least 5.
It would be really nice if they just made every map available all the time instead of this rotation thing.
