Ever go on an island looking for a specific villager then leave with someone else?

was hunting for coco since she's my favorite normal, and 12 tickets in i found judy.
yesterday i was hunting for stitches and found sherb instead and took him.

i was genuinely very, very tempted to pass up judy because of how bad i want coco but i couldn't do it. u__u​

All the time lol. I have a lot of amiibo cards so usually when I'm island hopping for a villager it's for one of the new ones or ones that I don't have cards for. I'm usually never not hunting for Raymond lol, but I settle for whoever I can get after a while.

Also, if you want Coco I have her amiibo card. I'm waiting on a trade atm, but I could set her up for you this week.

That's one of the best parts about island hopping! I go in with the mindset of hoping to find 5-6 specific villagers but end up leaving with a new friend!

Happened with Nan and Zucker.

Plus there's 600+ villagers to run into. You're bound to run into someone else you'll want to invite.

It happens to me all the time. And I love it, it allowed me to meet Fang, which has become a dreamie (couldn't save him in my reset since I didn't want to bother my friends with cycling). I'm hunting for him rn, but I'm sure I'll end up getting someone else hahahahaha

same here!! i need a jock villager ;; i have kid cat but only really took him since my friend loves him and i figured i'd give him to her. i either want dom (he's cute and he's also the very first villager i share my bday with in the series) or genji tbh! zucker is cute imo! it took me a while to warm up to the octopus villagers but now i think they're very cute lol.​

I had a list when i was hunting for a normal/sweet villager but i ended up taking Olive who was not on that list to begin with. I ended up loving her and prevented her from moving away recently because i wanna get her pic at least first.

Was looking for a cranky several weeks ago, and after many hours of frustration I encountered Ruby and I just couldn't pass her up, even though she's my third peppy

I was looking for a wolf villager of any kind, ran into Felicity, one of my faves. Moved someone out, hopped back to it, and found Canberra, another favorite.

This doesnt include the multiple times I found my friends' dreamies while looking for mine.
